SoTL Campus Conversations

The Scholarship of Teaching and Learning project was initiated by holding conversations with 90 campus leaders. These conversations showed that the scholarship of teaching and learning was trying to happen at Notre Dame, but did not have appropriate support. In response to these findings a request for proposals was sent to faculty to solicit SoTL projects. This resulted in the funding of nine projects led by teams or individual faculty representing each of our 5 colleges.

As a result of the success of the initial initiative we received additional funding to included five SoTL teams from colleges and Universities in our region. The regional projects are supported in part by grants from the Carnegie Foundation for the Advancement of Teaching and the Wabash Center for Teaching and Learning in Theology and Religion.
