Leading Review Sessions

Description: While review sessions are often used to help students prepare for exams, they can also be held more regularly and used as a tool to build longer-term retention of course material. This workshop will explore different types of review sessions and how to organize and structure each type. Additionally, we will cover a number of techniques for leading successful review sessions along with selecting appropriate material to cover.
Learning Goals:  After successfully completing this workshop, you will be able to:
  • select important topics to cover in a review session.
  • identify different strategies for reviewing course material.
  • develop and lead a review session for your class.
