Lunch & Learn: Writing an Effective Teaching Philosophy Statement

 

Description:

This one-hour brown-bag lunch session will focus on drafting a teaching statement, a necessary practice as you prepare for the academic job market.  Participants in this workshop will discuss the purposes for writing a statement and practical steps for getting started.  Participants will also have the opportunity to review sample statements and complete hands-on activities for initiating the writing process.

  • identify methods to begin writing a statement
