Description:

Rethinking Discussion in the Classroom will examine assumptions that guide discussion practices in the classroom, explore differing definitions of discussion, and identify best practices for rethinking discussion in the classroom.  Workshop attendees will leave the workshop with helpful resources, a checklist for reflecting on their own discussion practices, and practical suggestions for implementing an approach to discussion that looks beyond conventional practices.
