Catlin Schalk

Graduate Associate


Catlin is a PhD candidate at the University of Notre Dame in the Department of Chemistry and Biochemistry. As a student in the Kandel research lab, she studies gas-surface reactions using a home-built scanning tunneling microscope. Her pedagogical interests include student diversity in STEM, with a focus on supporting underserved, under prepared, and underrepresented students.  Outside of the professional environment, Catlin enjoys playing hockey at local ice rinks, and spending time with her pet rabbit Max.
