Clair is a PhD candidate in the Department of Theology, specializing in the politics, ethics, and social history of early Christianity and Judaism. Her dissertation focuses on a crisis of leadership in the early Christian church: the conflict between Paul and his Jewish contemporaries in first-century Corinth. Clair has taught both in the Theology Department at Notre Dame and in the Religion and Philosophy Department at Bethel College. She is interested in strategizing ways to foster a more engaging and dynamic classroom experience as well as helping instructors navigate the challenges of gearing material to diverse audiences.
