Kristin Rudenga


Director of Teaching Excellence

Kristi Rudenga helps graduate students, postdoctoral scholars and faculty members to develop and grow as teachers. She consults with instructors on pedagogical approaches, facilitates seminar series and workshops on teaching and mentoring, and is the Center’s liaison to the Graduate School’s Professional Development Committee.  Kristi’s teaching experience includes “Food and the Brain”, a literature-based neuroscience seminar course for non-science majors and “Brain and Thought,” an introductory survey of neuroscience.

Before joining the Kaneb Center, Kristi was Associate Director and Science Education Specialist at the Yale Teaching Center.  She earned her PhD in neuroscience from Yale University, studying central brain representation of taste and food reward.
