Designing Inclusive Classrooms and Learning Experiences

Description: How can we create relevant and accessible learning experiences that support success for all students? In this workshop, we will discuss some of the basic principles of inclusive teaching such as building structure into our curricula, transparency, active learning and student interaction, and equitable discussion leading. We will offer strategies for implementing these practices in ways that increase student success, especially for underrepresented populations (Shim & Perez 2018; Grant 2020).
