Trauma-Informed Teaching

Description: During this difficult semester, we’ll likely be teaching a higher-than-usual proportion of students who are dealing with trauma. This workshop is designed to inform participants about the potential effects of trauma on their students and introduce them to basic strategies to mitigate the impact of trauma in teaching and learning. We'll focus in particular on how to foster connection, develop emotional awareness, promote transparency, increase student autonomy, and cultivate resilience in the classroom.
