Carl Ackermann teaches Financial management and Personal Fincance to University of Notre Dame undergraduates. He joined the Notre Dame faculty in 1998. Ackermann studies and writes on mutual funds, and he has published the landmark academic study on hedge funds.
At Notre Dame, Ackermann has had the good fortune of receiving several awards for his teaching and service. He received the BP Outstanding Teacher Award in 2006, and the inaugural Dockweiler Award for Excellence in Undergraduate Advising in 2007.
Ackermann is thrilled to be joining the Kaneb Center. He is interested in scaling a small class feel to larger classes, and inspiring studetns to become breakthrough researchers.
He holds an A.B. from Amherst College and a Ph.D. from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill.
