Creating Videos for Teaching and Learning (Faculty Only)


This hands-on workshop is designed to help faculty members become comfortable working in the video medium. Along with technical skills, several teaching and learning strategies will be presented. Learn how to

  • Make a video clip from a DVD
  • Capture a screencast (video of a computer screen)
  • Operate a video camera
  • Do basic video editing with Adobe Premiere

Video cameras will be available. There is no charge. 

Learning Goals:

The goal is that participants will be able to easily and effectively incorporate DVD clips and short original videos into a course.

What to Bring:

  • Ideas for using video in a class
  • On the second day, you may bring a camera
