International TA Workshop


This workshop will address the specific needs of international graduate students performing TA duties at Notre Dame by providing them with insights and tools to teach in the USA in general and at ND in particular.

Workshop topics include:

  • Encountering different learning "cultures" in the classroom (what to expect in American classrooms/labs)
  • Challenges for TAs when English is not your first language
  • Grading at ND

The workshop will feature a panel of faculty members and experienced international TAs and conclude with an open Q&A session.
