Description: How should instructors position themselves in the classroom in relation to sensitive topics? Is it possible to be neutral? If so, when and how? We will reflect individually and collectively on the function of neutrality in the classroom. After successfully completing this workshop participants will be able to: identify some advantages and disadvantages of instructor neutrality; -describe contexts in which instructor neutrality is appropriate and others in which it is inappropriate; -develop a neutrality strategy for their own classrooms"
