Is it possible to organize a large course (>70 students) in a way that actively engages students without demanding an unreasonable amount of instructor time?  Yes -- but it does take some planning ahead of time.

Learning Goals:

After successfully completing this workshop you will be able to design problem-solving and other active learning strategies — including strategic use of technology — to discourage anonymity and create intimacy in large classes.
