A hands-on workshop that guides faculty through a course planning process that maximizes student learning and makes the most efficient use of time.

Learning Goals:

After successfully completing this workshop you will be able to:

■ Design a course using backward design principles

■ Identify strategies to increase student engagement and accountability

■ Begin planning efficient feedback and grading strategies

■ Create an effective course syllabus

What to Bring:

Please identify a course that you will design or redesign during the workshop. There will be multiple opportunities for substantive work so feel free to bring resources that might be helpful.
