Description: Rubrics make grading criteria clearer to faculty and students. Students turn in better work, and feedback is more objective and consistent. This workshop explains how to develop and use rubrics. It also introduces Rubric, a tool available within Sakai.
Learning Goals:

After successfully completing this workshop you will be able to:

  • Describe two types of rubrics
  • Identify and describe parts of a rubric
  • Create an draft rubric for use in your course
  • Implement rubrics in your assessment practices
What to Bring: The outline of an assignment or project for which you would like to create a rubric.
